Perclaim is an AI-powered tool that analyzes social media posts and generates assessments based on cited sources. Verdicts are produced automatically by a large language model and may contain errors. Perclaim is not journalism and is not a substitute for independent verification.

Perclaim makes no warranty as to the accuracy, completeness, or fitness for any purpose of the verdicts produced by this service. Use of this site is at your own risk. Verdicts should be verified against the cited sources before being relied upon for any decision.

Perclaim and its operators are not liable for any damages, direct or indirect, arising from use of this site or reliance on its output.

Don’t attempt to circumvent rate limits, abuse the service, or submit content that violates applicable law. Don’t use Perclaim verdicts to harass individuals or to spread information you know to be false.

Don’t submit:

• Content about private individuals. Perclaim is for fact-checking claims in public discourse — public figures, organizations, widely-reported events, and public statements about matters of public interest.
• Sexually explicit content, or content that sexualizes any person.
• Hate speech, including requests to fact-check claims that are themselves vehicles for hateful framing.
• Fabricated content presented as authentic — deepfakes or AI-generated media submitted without disclosure that the media is fabricated. (Submitting known-fabricated content with the explicit framing “is this real?” is a legitimate use case.)
• Personally identifying information about non-public individuals — phone numbers, home addresses, private email addresses, government identifiers.
• Content created for harassment, threats, doxxing, or coordinated attacks on individuals or groups.

Child sexual abuse material is absolutely prohibited. We report apparent CSAM to the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children (NCMEC) as required by U.S. law.

If you’ve configured a BYOK API key in Perclaim, it’s for your individual use — don’t share or distribute it.

Don’t use Perclaim verdicts as the sole basis for content moderation, journalistic publication, or fact-checking decisions without independent verification.

We may remove verdict pages produced from submissions that violate this policy. The underlying check record may be retained for safety, abuse, and legal purposes.

Repeated violations may result in suspension or termination of access, including BYOK key revocation. Content involving child safety, illegal threats, or other matters requiring legal response will be reported to appropriate authorities. We comply with valid legal process.

Fact-checking a post on Perclaim requires signing in with Google — whether you submit through the website or the Chrome extension. Sign-in uses Google OAuth. By signing in, you create an account associated with your Google email address. You can request account deletion at any time via the contact form.

Before we process a deletion request, we verify that you control the account. We complete verified requests without undue delay and in any event within 30 days. Deletion removes your account, your sign-in identity, your saved API keys, and your billing association.

Perclaim Pro is a paid subscription service. By purchasing a Pro plan, you authorize Perclaim and our payment processor (Stripe) to charge your selected payment method on a recurring basis at the price and billing cycle you selected (monthly or annual). Your subscription renews automatically at the end of each billing cycle until you cancel.

You can cancel your subscription at any time through your account’s subscription management page. Cancellation takes effect at the end of your current billing period — you’ll retain Pro access until then. After cancellation, your account returns to the Free tier and you will not be charged again.

We do not offer refunds for subscription payments. The Free tier provides ongoing access at no cost and serves as the trial experience for Perclaim Pro. If you have a billing question or believe a charge was made in error, please contact us.

Prices for Pro subscriptions are listed exclusive of applicable taxes. Sales tax, VAT, or similar taxes may be added to your subscription charges based on your billing address and the tax laws of your jurisdiction. Stripe Tax calculates and applies these taxes at checkout and on subsequent renewals. Your receipts and invoices will itemize any tax amounts collected.

Perclaim lets you optionally provide your own OpenAI or Anthropic API keys to use the service. If you do:

• BYOK keys live in your browser. If you’re signed in, you can optionally save your key to Perclaim to sync across your signed-in devices.
• Saved keys are encrypted at rest on our servers, used only to run your fact-checks and sync to your devices, and never logged.
• Charges for submissions made through your own keys are billed directly to your provider account, not by Perclaim
• You are responsible for the security and use of your own keys
• Perclaim is not liable for charges, breaches, or misuse of API keys you provide

These terms may be updated. Continued use of the service after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
